We are curious to see what you can do with open mobile software. Maybe you have a good idea for your own use, your company or the community at large. We are sure you have a lot of good ideas. So, let’s see what you can do. And, since we believe good ideas should be rewarded, we have some prizes lined up.

Best original application
Best improvement/rework of one of the Qtopia applications
Best end to end service
Best in the "impossible to classify" category
Best User Interface experience

Phase 2

Best open source application
Best commercial application

Registration

Registration entries will be accepted until June 29, 2007. Upon registration, you will receive confirmation of your eligibility or non-eligibility. The sooner you register, the better! Eligible registrants will receive information about where to submit their Phase I entry. Register today!

Deadlines

Phase I

5 entries from each Phase I category will be selected as Phase I winners (total of 25 possible Phase I winners). Each winning entrant will receive:

• a Qtopia Greenphone with a Community SDK
  
• eligibility to move into Phase II of the Challenge
  

Winning entries will be notifed by July 16, 2007.

Phase II

1 entry from each Phase II category will be selected as final Developer Challenge winners (total of 2 possible Phase II winners). Each winning entrant will receive:

• $5000.00 USD
• Airfare and conference registration to the closest Trolltech Developer Days 2007 conference
• Qtopia Greenphone Professional SDK

• Recognition as final winners in Trolltech publications

Judges and Judging Criteria

Trolltech may make available the entry application descriptions and screenshots for Phase II entries for public voting. If you wish to participate in the public voting and be notified when voting is open, please email press (at) trolltech.com with "Notify Me" in the subject line. Developer Challenge entrants may not participate in the public voting process.
