QCad is a popular open source CAD system. It was one of the first CAD applications available for the Linux platform in 1999, but has also won the hearts of many Windows and Mac OS X users since then. QCad users range from students and CAD beginners to professionals in global companies.

The most recent addition to QCad is a scripting interface that uses Qt Script for Applications (QSA). With the integration of QSA, QCad attracts an even broader audience.
