 The Julius framework provides both:

• An easy to handle visualization tool for the clinical expert to inspect and handle patient image data like CT, MRI, SPECT or PET and
• A general software development environment for the computer science researcher for rapid application production.

Julius has a cross-platform, object oriented architecture allowing your application to be easily served by specific plug-ins. Julius is easily customized to reflect specific workflows, and components for basic manual segmentation algorithms, measurement tools, and drivers to hook up optical instrument tracking or haptic devices are under development.
