GUI-Artist enables developers to design and generate fast and easy custom widgets fully running in Qt Designer, or complete manageable graphical user interfaces. There are no programming skills necessary for creating individual software components. You just paint your graphic within a special editor and then push a button to generate ready-to-use Qt source code.

The tool is designed to use Trolltech’s Qt, because of it’s portability. At the beginning of the GUI-Artist development we were using Qt 3.3. When Qt 4.1 was released, we decided to begin the porting process as quickly as possible to assemble the great new features in GUI-Artist. It will take some work, but it will make GUI-Artist an even more powerful and performing application and an exciting experience for the user.
