Trolltech Announces Dates & Locations for Annual Developer Conference Recently, Trolltech announced the dates and locations of its 4th
annual Trolltech Developer Days conference. Each year, the Conference
brings togther our customers and partners to meet with our developers,
product management and executives. Make sure your calendar has these
dates marked. We'll let you know when registration is open. In the

New Look for Qtopia 4.3 One of the most visible changes in Qtopia Phone Edition 4.3 will be its
new appearance. We've designed a sleek new default 'Qtopia' theme (the
former 'Qtopia' theme is now known as 'Classic'), as well as a
complementary style for widgets.

Professional Services Organization - Qt Consultancy Services In
a previous article, we introduced Trolltech consultancy services with a
focus on our Qtopia product family. In this issue, we move our focus
toward consultancy for Qt.
The Results are In: 2007 Qt Customer Survey Highlights Earlier
this year, we released our fourth annual customer survey. The survey is
designed to give our customers an opportunity to give their honest
feedback on our products, future directions and our ability to meet
their needs over the past 12 months. This year, over 1800 of our
customers responded to the survey, providing an accurate look at the
opinions of Qt and Qtopia Core users worldwide. Here are some of the
things they had to say.
Reusing Open Source Components Code
reuse is one of the biggest advantages of free software. In other words, there is no reason to reinvent the wheel. KDE 4, which
is scheduled for launch in October, has a lot of interesting
components. We will see interesting components such as Decibel which unifies chat, phones and other messaging technologies; and Strigi for incredibly fast desktop search. This article will focus on Marble, a small memory footprint
geographical map widget initiated by Torsten Rahn.
